| Arnetta (Peggy) Ann Brown Kight, age 74, of McLean VA, departed life on January 1, 2015 at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax VA. Peggy was born in Glenville WV on September 7, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Waitman and Vera Siegrist Brown, great-granddaughter of Arch and Arnetta Coberly Brown and John and Dovey Woofter Siegrist. Peggy worked as a special education assistant at Franklin Sherman Elementary School in McLean, VA in the later years of her life. Prior to that time, she worked as a wife and mother. More recently, she cared for her husband, Larry, and enjoyed spending time with her 13 grandchildren as frequently as possible. She was proud of West Virginia, her home state, and she loved Gilmer County. She was a 1961 graduate of Glenville State College and a 1958 graduate of Glenville High County. Survivors include her husband, Larry Kight, and five grown children, Lori Ann Day and her husband James, Sara Jane Gellios and her husband John, Elizabeth Stull, Kurt Kight and his wife Michelle, and Casey Kight and his wife Emily. Her beloved grandchildren in order of birth are Michael, Adam, Jennifer, Alex, Ashley, Austin, Jason, Jack, Drew, Kelly Ann, Calla, Porter and Ryan. Also surviving is one brother, John Brown. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV, 26351 at 9:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015, with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Stalnaker Cemetery in Glenville. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, also at the mortuary. Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Arnetta Ann Kight with arrangements.
