James E. Miller, 56 - Elkview

James E. Miller, 56, of Elkview, West Virginia died January 6, 2015 at his home.

He was born January 22, 1958 in Spencer, West Virginia a son of the late Phillip John "PJ" and Shirley Greathouse Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Milford and Pauline Miller.

He was a 1976 Spencer High School graduate and worked in ground maintenance. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and attending sporting events and served as a midget league football coach. He served in the US Army for three years with the Corp. of Engineers and attended the Gandee Chapel Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donita Lesher Miller; one son, Don Phillip Miller and his wife, Julie, of Spencer; two daughters, Anita Hensley and her fiancé, Chris Bennett, of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Toni McGinnis and her husband, Steve, of Amma, West Virginia; one sister, Opal Myers and her husband, Kevin, of Spencer; two brothers, John Miller and his wife, Debbie, of Ripley, West Virginia and David Miller of Spencer; seven grandchildren, Warren, Chancee, Steven, AJ, Bryanna, Lila and Brooklyn; and several nieces and nephews.

Service 1:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Daniel R. Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Craig Hill Cemetery, Spencer.

Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, 206 Beauty Street, Spencer WV 25276 for expenses.
