UPDATE: GLENVILLE STATE HAS HIGHEST ENROLLMENT GAIN SINCE 2008 - 2014 Enrollment Slight Drop

(01/02/2015)
West Virginia is a state with low college enrollment.

Gathering and evaluating stats and charts regarding enrollment, also using news reports published around the state, is challenging to evaluate.

Here's the latest, and maybe correct update.

Glenville State College has had the largest increase in student enrollment among twelve of the state's 4-year colleges between 2008-14, according to the WV Higher Education Policy Commission.

The 2014 enrollment was 1,802 students, according to the WV Higher Education Policy Commission.

The school showed a decline with the 2014 enrollment of -2.5% since 2013.

Glenville State's enrollment has increased from 1,443 in 2008 to 1,802 in 2014.

Bluefield State College had the largest decline in enrollment of 16 percent between 2008-2014.

Of the twelve 4-year colleges, nine of the 12 schools showed a decline in enrollment during 2014, including Glenville with a decline -2.5%.

West Virginia University had a 4.3% percent gain in 2014.
