Adam Scott Burroughs, 27, of Spencer, died Sunday, December 28, 2014 at home. He was born September 28, 1987 in Orrville, Ohio, the son of Mazel M. "Crickett" Wayne Marks Burroughs Nichols of Spencer and the late Donald Scott Burroughs. Adam enjoyed watching wrestling, hunting, fishing, watching movies, playing video games and spending time with family and his special dog, "Pogo." He was a graduate of Roane County High School and a member of the Church of the Living God, Spencer. In addition to his mother, survivors include his stepfather, Howard Nichols of Spencer; sister, Rebecca Johnson of Covert MI; brothers, Jeffery Marks of Spencer, Eric Marks of Orma, WV and Jason Marks of Canton OH; several nieces and nephews, especially Kaitlyn Marks and Hunter Marks. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Carl Marks officiating.
