MINNORA CENTER WILL BE RE-ORGANIZED - Jordan Complains About Financial Records

From Press Release MCC The Minnora Community Center will be re-organized on Sunday, October 27, according to board member Donna Jordan. "We will be planning for the future. A primary goal is to get the center operating for the community, by the community," she said. Five board members, including President Wanda Richards, resigned on October 15. Jordan said she hopes the center will have a chance for a new beginning, and asks for community help to make it happen. The meeting starts at 1 p.m. in the center's gym. Jordan expressed concern regarding the financial management of the facility, stating "No financial records or receipts were received to cover the last 16 months." She said liability insurance had not been paid, but "a benefactor stepped forward to donate enough to cover the ($861) bill." A fundraiser for the center is being planned for November 8.
