SPECIAL MEETING
CALHOUN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
OCTOBER 21, 2002
At the Pleasant Hill School, Grantville, West Virginia; Monday, October 21, 2002
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Ralph Cunningham, Richard Fitzwater, Carlene Frederick, Donald Harris and Burl
Simers
Ronald Blankenship, Secretary
ABSENT:
None
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fitzwater, president, at 7:00 p.m.
MINUTES:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Simers seconded that the minutes of the October 7, 2002 meeting be approved. Motion
carried unanimously.
Mrs. Frederick moved and Mr. Simers seconded that the board adopt the Tobacco Coalition Resolution as presented.
Motion carried unanimously.
PRESENTATION:
Larry Stinn, principal, and Steve Whited, LSIC Chairman, made a presentation regarding their USIP.
ADJOURNMENT:
Mr. Cunningham moved and Mr. Simers seconded that the meeting adjourn at 7:30 p.m. with the next meeting scheduled for
November 4, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Superintendent's Office. Motion carried unanimously.
