EXTENSION OFFICE TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR MASTER GARDENER TRAINING COURSE - Applications Due Jan. 16

WVU County Extension Office is now taking applications for the Master Gardener Training Course. Applications can be picked up at the WVU Extension Offices in Gilmer or Calhoun Counties.

Tentatively classes will be held on both Monday and Thursday evenings, starting February 2 and ending around March 12.

The cost of the class will be $80 to cover Master Gardener Manual, partial scholarships available. Applications are due by Friday, January 16, 2015. Classes will be held at the Gilmer County High School, in the Vo-Ag classroom. At least 10 people are needed to signup to have the course.

The Extension Master Gardener Program is designed to extend horticultural knowledge to the community through the use of trained volunteers. Your decision to enroll should be based not only on your own search for information, but also your willingness to volunteer!

30 Hours of Training for 30 hours of Volunteering. For Experienced and Beginning Gardeners. Taught by horticulture professionals. Opportunities to volunteer in gardening related projects. Engage and network with other Master Gardeners locally and state wide.
