She was born September 21, 1932 at Clover WV, a daughter of the late Ralph and Clora Perrine Fox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Virgil Starcher and Harry Hughes; four brothers, John, Clarence, Warren and Moras Fox; two sisters, Virginia Hunt and Rosie Lea Ash. Mrs. Hughes was a Christian and a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Starcher of Uniontown, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Fox of Parkersburg WV and Orlas Fox of Ravenswood WV; a sister, Ada Hughes of Vienna WV.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the John H. Taylor Funeeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Justin S. Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wallback WV.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
