Arless Darren Lowery, 77 - Parkersburg

Arless Darren Lowery, 77, of Parkersburg, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014. He passed away peacefully at Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born May 7, 1937, in Kanawha Co., W.Va., a son of the late Mirl and Mamie Rigsby Lowery.

Arless was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and Army National Guard . He graduated from the WV Institute of Technology. He was an instructor at the Calhoun/Gilmer Co. Career Center. He was a skilled craftsman and mechanic, he spent many long hours tinkering away in his garage and repairing lawn mowers.

He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and carpentry. He was a member of the American Legion Post 15 Parkersburg and Southside Southern Baptist.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Sharon Weaver Lowery, a Calhoun native; one daughter, Karen (Lowery) Sanchez and her husband, Hector, of Parkersburg; one son, James Darren Lowery of Parkersburg; two daughters-in-law, Brenda Lowery of Livonia, Mich. and Evelyn Lowery of Guyton, Ga.; one brother, Doyle Lowery of McConnelsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Brian Cuffe, Zac Cuffe, Lindsay and husband Joe Mosteller, Danielle and husband Michael Arrington, Kristie Lowery, and Chase Arnold; three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Brantley and Kynli; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones all of whom provided Arless with a lifetime of fond memories.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Craig Lowery and Chris Lowery; one sister-in-law, Gladys Lowery; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Weaver and Larry Arnold.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg with Pastor Paul Drake officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Full military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 15.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at   www.woundedwarriorproject.org
