Ronald Lee Morris, 53 - Weston

Ronald Lee Morris age 53 of Weston, West Virginia, formerly of Gilmer County departed this life Monday afternoon December 8, 2014 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following a sudden illness.

Born August 10, 1961 in Marietta, Ohio, son of Roy and Elaine Sprouse Morris of Normantown, WV.

Ronald was employed at the Sharp Mental Hospital in Weston as a Health Service worker. He was a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1980 and enjoyed farming, the outdoors, hunting, and was a member of the Dawson Baptist Church.

On October 5, 2008 he was united in marriage to Kimberly Wiant Morris who survives at their Weston Home.

Surviving are 6 children, Michelle Greenwood and husband Adam of Snellville GA, Ronald Lee Morris Jr. of Loganville GA, Melissa Ulysse and husband Josue of Lawrenceville GA, Charissa Jordan of Weston, and Tyler and Aiden also of Weston; 3 sisters, Mary Frye and husband Tony of Cox's Mills WV, Rhonda Roland and husband Jeff of Jasper GA, and Stephanie James and husband Doug of Roanoke WV.

There are 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Alex, and Jamie Greenwood and L.J. and Jasmine Ulysse all of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews, David and Brandi Frye of Cox's Mills, Heather Kirk, Dustin, and Haley Murphy of Georgia, Samantha, Shirania Grace, and Robby James of Roanoke WV.

Preceding Ronald in death was 1 brother, Scott Edgar Morris.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV; 26351 at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 11, 2014 with Elder Mike Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery in Normantown. Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary.

Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Ronald Lee Morris with arrangements.
