Horst Wolfgang Lautier, 79 - Reedy

Horst Wolfgang Lautier, 79 of Reedy, WV left this world on November 28, 2014 after a brief illness.

He was born on March 30, 1935 in Harburg, Hamburg, Germany, son of the late George and Hilde Lautier of Hamburg, Germany. He was retired from Leo Keller's Meat Packing Plant of Newark, NJ, where he was a Meister Butcher. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Spencer, WV.

Horst is survived by his wife, Ute Ria Lautier. He is also survived by his four daughters, Susan Lautier of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Robin H. Conforti of Andreas, PA, Pauline Pelka of Winburne, PA, and Tracy Hoolahan of Reedy, WV. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Waltraud Boëcksteigl of Hamburg, Germany.

He is survived by his ten grandchildren, George W. Roxby, Arnold M. Pelka, Jr., Eric F. Pelka, Rosemarie I. Conforti, Michael M. Conforti, Peter K. Conforti, Genevieve R. Hoolahan, Patrick W. Hoolahan, Karl W. Hoolahan, and Hilde H. Hoolahan. His five great grandchildren also survive him, Liam Conforti, Octavian Hamer, Adriel Hamer, Adelaide Roxby, and Erik Roxby. Additionally, his two sons-in-law and two nieces survive him, as well as his two nephews, respectively, Michael J. Conforti, Arnold M. Pelka, Sr., Marion Boettcher, Jutta Boëcksteigl, Peter Boëcksteigl, Guido Pieper, Peter Pieper, and Heiko Pieper.

The service was held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. Eulogy was presented by Pastor Rev. David L. Hall, officiating from St. Johns United Methodist Church of Spencer, WV.
