WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Drunken Man Commits Murder In Nicholas County

DRUNKEN ARGUMENT ENDS IN MURDER - Nicholas County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a murder that happened about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday on Grassy Creek Road in Leivasy. According to a news release, Kermit Ivan Hammonds (left) and Jerry Dale Harlow were fighting when Hammonds shot Harlow with a rifle. Harlow was pronounced dead at the scene. Harlow, 48, is from Richwood. Hammonds, 61, is from Leivasy. Hammonds is in custody and being held at the Central Regional Jail, charged with murder. A spokesperson said Hammonds was too intoxicated to be arraigned Tuesday. Deputies say the incident remains under investigation.
