PARKERSBURG HOLD-UP - Parkersburg Chief Joe Martin says the hold-up happened at The Stoney Café just before 1 a.m.

An employee and witnesses say a man wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt was granted access into the business by the employee.

Once inside, the suspect pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money from the register. He gave the suspect the cash.

The suspect left the store about three minutes later.

PARKERSBURG SHOOTING - One person was dead and a second person was being treated at a Morgantown hospital following a shooting Sunday night in Parkersburg.

Parkersburg Police confirmed a man, age 54, was found dead around 6 p.m. Sunday on Broadway Ave. in south Parkersburg. A woman, age 49, who had also been shot was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.

Reports indicated the two victims were a married couple.

Parkersburg Police were investigating.
