400 THANKSGIVING DINNERS SERVED AT CCCOA IN GRANTSVILLE

(11/29/2014)
CCCOA Volunteers and the Salvation Army served nearly 400 Thanksgiving Day Meals from 7:00 am through 2:00pm on Thanksgiving Day.

Volunteers were busy at the CCCOA preparing, serving or delivering Thanksgiving Day meals, then cleaning the CCCOA kitchen and facilities afterwards.

As in past years, all food and supplies for the dinners were picked up from and provided for by the Salvation Army in Parkersburg on Thanksgiving Eve.

Vplunteers facilitated a Thanksgiving Day feast of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes, hot rolls and pumpkin pie.

This year, 168 meals were delivered by volunteers, and another 215 meals were served in CCCOA's dining hall or picked up as take-outs.

CCCOA Director Rick Poling says the agency is thankful for the following volunteers whose efforts personified the spirit of Thanksgiving: Cheryl Basnett, Gary Buchanan, Linda Buchanan, Jenny Craddock, Lew Craddock, Cindy Cottrell, Jesse Davis, JoAnn Dunn, Joe Eagle, Thelma Hall, Vier Hall, Violet Hardway, Judy Jarvis, Roger Jarvis, Crissy Johnson, Helen Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Josh Johnson, Carol Kanalley, Kevin Kanalley, Aaron Lloyd, Tim Moore, Maricia Mlynek, Duane Poling, Willadene Poling, Rick Poling, Keith Smith, Loretta Smith, Eli Tingler, Hazel Tingler, Carol Trice, Earl Trice, Lisa Ullom, Bill Umstead and Donna Umstead.
