Emma A. Greenleaf, 74 - Reedy

Emma A. Greenleaf, 74, of Reedy, West Virginia died November 23, 2014 at her home.

She was born March 6, 1940 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Orland R. and Lacy A. Callow Criner.

She was retired from the Roane County Board of Education as an aide, formerly worked at Lacy's Home Sew Shop in Billings and was a seamstress. She was a member of the Gilboa Baptist Church where she was in the Women's Mission and was a Sunday School teacher. She was a 4-H leader, enjoyed canning and cooking for people, helping people and was a cherished grandmother.

Emma is survived by her husband, Rex W. Greenleaf; one son, Orland Kent Greenleaf of Reedy; two daughters, Shari Greenleaf Sims of Palestine, West Virginia and Tracy Greenleaf Miller of Spencer, West Virginia; one sister, Eleanor Wood of Reedy; nine grandchildren, Lillian, Mahala, and Caroline Greenleaf, Lacey, Lakin, Lee, and Lance Sims, and Brett and Brayden Miller; a sister-in-law, Twila Criner; a brother-in-law, Richard "Dickie" Harlow; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Harlow; and a brother, Charles W. Criner.

Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer, with Rev. Larry Greathouse officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
