The 2014 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps survey, shows Calhoun ranking 31 of 55 counties in health outcomes and ranks near the bottom in overall health factors.
The program helps communities identify and implement solutions that make it easier for people to be healthy in their schools,
workplaces, and neighborhoods, ranking the health of nearly every county in the nation.
Counties are ranked relative to the health of other counties in the same state. We calculate and rank eight summary composite scores:
Overall Health Outcomes considers length and quality of life, while Overall Health Factors considers
health behaviors,
clinical care,
social and economic factors and
physical environment.
