FOUR SHALLOW/HORIZIONTAL WELLS TO BE DRILLED IN CLAY COUNTY

(11/12/2014)
Cunningham Energy LLC, a Charleston based production company, announced plans to drill four new shallow horizontal oil wells in Clay County.

The new horizontal program will be drilled from the "Lion's Paw" pad, targeting oil in the Big Injun Sand formation in Clay County's Union District. The four wells will range in measured depth from 4,900 to 5,600 feet and vertical depths of 2,150 feet or more.

Each well bore on the Lion's Paw Pad has been planned to be completed with multiple frac stages with varying spacing dependent on future wireline data, the company said.

The company anticipates spudding the first horizontal Lion's Paw well at the end of November 2014.

"Cunningham Energy is continuing to develop this promising new play in West Virginia at a rapid pace," said Ryan Cunningham.

"Prior in house results have given merit to this new play and we feel that the potential of these shallow horizons is just in the first inning of the game, he said."

Cunningham Energy is currently completing the Dragon's Breath Three Well Horizontal Program in Clay County.
