| Gladys L. La Deaux, 87 of Palestine WV passed away at her Residence on November 7, 2014.
She was born in Wirt County the daughter of the late Frances Howard Bell and Bessie (Cox) Bell.
She retired from the United States Postal Service as a Post Master after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Elizabeth CEO's,
attended Palestine Methodist Church for several years, and Beulah Hill Humble Presbyterian Church.
Gladys enjoyed quilting, spending time with her family and reading her Bible.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Rodney) Taylor of Big Bend WV; 4 grandsons, Joe Taylor (Cynthia) of Big Bend and their children, Christopher, Madison, Preston, Katlynn and Johnathon, John Taylor of Big Bend, Zachery La Deaux and his fiance Marie and their children Rylan, Brayden, Evan and Landon, Cody La Deaux (Stephanie) of Rives WV and their children Kylie, and Kayson; 1 sister Rhonda Trippett of Parkersburg WV; 1 daughter-in-law, Randa La Deaux; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband Johnny La Deaux; one son, George La Deaux; one grandson, Jason La Deaux;
one brother, Donald Ray Bell; and one sister, Hazel Walcutt.
Services will be Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth WV with Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 11 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at K of P Cemetery of Elizabeth WV.
