CLAY MAN ACCOSTS SHERIFF AND ASSISTANT DURING COURT PROCEEDINGS

An 18-year-old Clay resident broke into a violent range in the Clay courthouse Friday, injuring Sheriff Garrett Samples and Process Server Gary King.

Seth Randolph Legg was making a court appearance when the outburst occurred, and other offers came to bring him under control.

Sheriff Samples received a cut to the head and Process Server King was reportedly knocked unconscious for a period of time, according to the Clay Communicator.

Legg was charged with malicious assault, wounding and battery and is in Central Regional Jail with bail set at $50,000.

Daniel Ryan Adkins, 25, was charged by Clay authorities with computer fraud and is incarcerated in Central Regional Jail.

Another Clay man, Kenneth Wayne Nottingham, 25, was charged with daytime burglary B%E, petit larceny, conspiracy and destruction of property. He is in Central Regional Jail.

A Calhoun man, Brandon James Sampson, 29, was charged Friday with domestic battery. He is in Central Regional Jail with bail set at $5,000.

James Bradley Hickman, 21, has been arrested by Roane authorities and is in Central Regional Jail, charged with DUI-2nd, Drivers license revoked DUI, Battery, Fleeing while DUI and Trespassing.
