William Fitzgerald Stewart, 76 - St. Petersburg Fla

(11/05/2014)
William Fitzgerald Stewart, 76, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2014.

William is survived by his son, William & (Lisa) Stewart, daughter Mary Ann Stewart & (Michelle Yelk), and daughter Susan Stewart & (Luis Sepulveda), and five granddaughters, Carmen, Isobel, Sofia, Miranda and Mary Katherine. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.

Bill was born in Moundsville, West Virginia in 1938; his career in the newspaper industry moved his family many places including Berea, Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bill retired with his wife of 50 years Reta to St. Petersburg, Florida.

Bill was a veteran and member of the masonic lodge. Bill was an avid sports fan with a love for youth sports. He coached his children and their friends for many years in baseball.

Bill was a treasured member of his community and was honored with "Bill Stewart Day" for all of the time and effort he gave to the youth sports community in Ohio.

It was easy to know Bill as he did not know a stranger. He was an example to all on how to meet people and accept them for all of their differences. A memorial service will be held on November 8 at 10 am at Rush Run Baptist Church. Bill will be buried next to his wife Reta in the Shock Family Cemetery.

Arrangements by Stump Funeral home, Grantsville, WV.
