Irene Phyllis Vannoy Carter, 70, of Chloe, WV passed away October 30, 2014 at her home. She was born September 17, 1944 at Nicut WV, a daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Vannoy King. She is survived by her husband, Gene Carter; daughters Rhonda Bowen of Chloe and Mary Warner of Rosedale WV; grandchildren, Alicia Warner of Chloe, Alexandra Warner of Rosedale, Emily Felter of Marietta OH, Monica Wilson of Parkersburg WV, Micahla Bowen of Chloe and Waylon Carter of Arnoldsburg WV; great grandchildren, Brantley Bailey and John Martin of Chloe, Braedyn Warner and Isaiah Jones of Rosedale; siblings, Nancy Craddock of Rittman OH and Loretta Lamb of Lutz FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her son Philip Carter; and brother Lawrence King. Private family graveside services were held on Friday October 31, 2014 with burial following in the King Cemetery at Nicut.
