Opal Berneal Cottrill, 75, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died October 16 in Charleston Area
Medical Center.
Born in Akron, Ohio, September 30, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Enos and Birta Nitz
Offutt.
Surviving are her husband Emory Cottrill whom she married September 14, 1945 and two
sisters, Patsy Lautanen of Jefferson, Ohio and Betty Hedrick of Brandenburg, Kentucky; two
brothers, Donald Offutt of Jefferson, Ohio and Duane Offutt of Andover, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Deral Cottrill and two sisters, Barbara
Offutt and Luella Offutt Cobb.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home,
Grantsville. Reverend Larry Jones will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
