Martha O. Stemple, 92, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 in the
Miletree Healthcare Center, Spencer.
She was born August 16, 1910 at Phillippi, a daughter of the late Carson Lee and Ellen Bennett
Stemple. She was a retired teacher with 43 years of service in Upsher and Roane Counties.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Spencer.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and John Dye of Spencer; niece, Marty
Cassidy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nephew, Carson Dye of Toledo, Ohio; a grand
nephew, five grand nieces and one great grand nephew.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 19 at 11 a.m. in the John H.
Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Reverend Lester Walker officiating. Burial will be in
the Clover Cemetery, Clover, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the
service.
