The Calhoun County School-Based Health Clinic offers many services to students and teachers at Arnoldsburg Elementary, Pleasant Hill School, and Calhoun Middle/High School.

Melanie Wilson PA-C is the provider assisted by Paula King, LPN. Dental Services are provided by Susanna Walker, DDS and Amber Knapp, Dental Hygienist.

Services provided at Calhoun County School Based Health Clinics:

• Yearly physical exams (well-child checks)   • Immunizations   • Chronic disease (asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.)  • Acute illness (cold, allergies, cough, headache, sprains, cuts, etc.)  • Allergy injections   •Sports injuries   • Sports physicals   • Medically-prescribed lab tests (small selection)   • Vision screens   • Hearing screens   • Health education and prevention   • Dental exams, cleanings, x-rays, sealants & fluoride treatments   • Behavioral health referrals   • X-Ray and laboratory orders

If your child is in need of immunizations or injections, we ask that you please call at least one day prior to schedule an appointment so we will be able to bring the vaccine(s) to the SBHC that day.

All services performed at the SBHC will be billed to your insurance. However, any co-pays or deductibles will not be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. When teachers visit the SBHC we will bill your insurance and any remaining balance will be the responsibility of the patient.

If you should receive a bill in error, please contact our billing office at 304-354-9244 and they will make any corrections needed.

If your child is referred for outpatient services such as lab or X-ray, the insurance will be billed and any deductible or remaining balance will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Furthermore, if outpatient services are provided at Minnie Hamilton Health System in Glenville or Grantsville, you may be eligible for the Sliding Fee (reduced rate) program. For more information or to receive a Sliding Fee application, contact 304-354-9244.

PLEASANT HILL ELEMENTARY: 304-354-9320 - Wednesday 8-11 a.m., Thursday 8-11 a.m.

CALHOUN MIDDLE HIGH SCHOOL: 304-354-9732 or 0225 (Fax: 354-9126) - Monday 8-4 p.m., Tuesday 8-11:30 a.m., Wednesday 12-4 p.m., Thursday 8-4 p.m. (No provider/nurse), Friday 8-4 p.m.

CALHOUN/GILMER CAREER CENTER: 304-354-6151 - Monday noon-3 p.m.
