NELSON SENTENCED TO PRISON - Exposing Children To Meth Making In Calhoun

Calhoun Circuit Court heard four felony cases Wednesday with Judge Thomas Evans III presiding.

Calhoun Prosecutor Shannon Johnson said Deanna Louise Nelson, 30 (left) was sentenced to one to five years in the state penitentiary for exposure of children to the manufacture of methamphetamine, a felony.

Isaac Bell appeared for further sentencing following his plea to conspiracy to operate a clandestine methamphetamine drug laboratory, a felony. He was sentenced to one to five years, which was suspended for home confinement with electronic monitoring, said Johnson.

Bell is also facing charges in Roane County.

Danny Lockhart appeared for an arraignment on his charges of manufacturing marijuana and sexual abuse in the first degree, both felonies. His case was set for a pre-trial hearing on January 7 and trial on February 17. 2015.

Andrea Simmons was ordered to complete a sixty day diagnostic evaluation at the Northern Regional Correctional Facility prior to final sentencing. Simmons previously entered a guilty plea to operating a clandestine methamphetamine drug laboratory, a felony.

The court also heard twenty five juvenile cases.

The next court date is Monday.
