TWO FCI GILMER INMATES SENTENCED FOR HEROIN POSESSION

Two inmates at the federal correctional facility in Gilmer County have been convicted and sentenced after they were discovered in possession of heroin.

Antonio Whitehead, 27, of Macon, Georgia, and Brian Carnegie, 29, of Cleveland, Ohio, each entered guilty pleas to one count of possession of a prohibited object.

Whitehead and Carnegie, who are both currently incarcerated on drug trafficking charges, were each sentenced to an additional six months in prison.

The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Special Investigative Services Unit at FCI Gilmer.
