GRANTSVILLE SCHEDULES WATER LINE FLUSHING

(10/25/2014)
The Town of Grantsville will conduct a controlled flushing of the water line distribution system during the week of Oct. 27th. between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mon. Oct. 27 Townside; Tues. Oct. 28 Southside; Wed. Oct. 29 Northside and Phillips Run.

The flushing program helps maintain flow capacity and water quality in the distribution system; removing impurities associated with new and repaired mains, and helps eliminate taste, odors and discoloration from the water.

Flushing the lines may result in localized cloudiness and discoloration of the water. This condition is temporary and is the result of the scouring action on water lines. You can quickly clear up the discolored water in your home or business by flushing water through your plumbing. Recommended locations for flushing your plumbing are outside spigots and bathtubs.

Residents should not wash clothes in water that is discolored. This may result in stains.

Any questions may be directed to the Town of Grantsville Water Treatment Plant, 304-354-7316 or 304-354-7500>
