FORMER RITCHIE ASST. FIRE CHIEF FACING SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES

West Virginia State Police have arrested a Pennsboro man on sexual assault charges.

James Donald Robinson Jr., 29, is charged with five counts of third degree sexual assault for having sex with a 15-year-old girl, according to Sgt. Clint Boring.

Robinson was the assistant fire chief of the Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Department at the time of the incidents, said Sgt. Boring.

The incidents are alleged to have happened between September 2014 until October 20, 2014.

Police say more charges could be filed.

The Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Department removed Robinson of his duties following his arrest and he is no longer with the department, said officials.

The case is being investigated by Tfc. McCullough and Cpl. J.L. Brewer.

Robinson is being held in North Central Regional Jail in lieu of $50,000.

REGIONAL ARRESTS

A Ritchie Co. man, Mark Allen Saltz, 41, has been charged with violating a protective order. He is in North Central Regional Jail.

Billy Jo Dillon, 43, has been charged by Braxton authorities with uttering. He is in Central Regional Jail.
