A Spencer woman, 29-year-old Melissa May, has returned to the community after spending
over a month in the University of Kentucky Hospital. May's scalp was removed from her
head at Spencer Veneer, after her hair was caught in a production machine.
May, whose deceased parents were residents of Calhoun, is improving and making
significant progress after numerous surgeries.
