Jack C. Brabham, 79 - Reedy

Jack C. Brabham, 79, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2014.

Jack was married for 56 years to Betty Smith Brabham. They have two children, Jeff (Sandy) Brabham of Spencer, West Virginia and Jennifer Brabham (Romie) Hersman of Greenwood, Indiana; four grandchildren, Casey (Anna) Brabham and Cody (Courtney) Brabham and Lacey and Patrick Hersman; and five great-grandchildren, Aubree, Braxten, Gwendolyn, Miriam and Huck Brabham. He is also survived by a brother, Bob Brabham of Nashville, Tennessee.

Jack worked for C & P Telephone Co., first climbing poles, and later as a Central Office Technician before retiring in 1997. He was a lifelong member of the Reedy United Methodist Church. Jack loved to sing, tell stories and working on his farm. He was a US Marine.

Going on before Jack were an infant daughter, Ruby Denette Brabham; his parents, McKinley and Ruby Brabham; his brother, Dennis Brabham; and three sisters, Georgia Wilson, Laurine Nichols, and Nellie Dillard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2014 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Revs. Larry Jones and Darin Cale officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Visitation is two hours prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Reedy United Methodist Church c/o Linda Nichols, 357 Stutlers Run Road Reedy WV 25270.
