CHS DEFEATS BRAXTON LOSES TO CLAY, 24-9 ON SEASON

By Angie Hersman Calhoun High School Volleyball traveled to Clay on Tuesday evening for a Tri with Clay and Braxton. CHS fell to Clay 0-2 and defeated Braxton 2-0. CHS record goes to 24-9 on the season. CHS defeated Braxton 26-24 and 25-9 Hannah Allen 3 points, 4 kills; Savannah Rogers 12 points (2 aces), 3 kills, 7 digs; Kayla Lamb 7 points, 5 digs; Kenzie Hicks 17 points (10 aces), 8 kills, 10 digs; Makayla Smith 9 points (4 aces), 27/27 setting, 6 digs; Taylor Garrett 3 points, 4 digs; Shyenne Jarvis 4 digs; Alisha Fulks 1 kill; Ashley Hersman 2 digs. Clay defeated CHS 11-25 and 21-25 Shyenne Jarvis 5 points (1 ace), 9 digs; Hannah Allen 3 points; Savannah Rogers 8 points (1 ace), 4 kills, 5 digs; Kayla Lamb 7 points (2 aces), 8 digs; Kenzie Hicks 3 points, 3 kills, 10 digs, 1 block; Makayla Smith 3 points, 23/23 setting; Taylor Garrett 3 points, 1 kill, 7 digs.
