| MAN SHOT - Police say a man shot in McDowell County this week was Randall Edwards. Edwards was shot in the head at his home in Panther by Joe Blankenship, who is now charged with attempted murder.
Edwards is in stable condition.
JACKSON WOMAN STABBED - A Jackson County woman was stabbed late Monday in a parking area at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
Sgt. Tony Hazelett of the Charleston Police Department said Erin Spencer, 35, of Cottageville, told police she was walking back from a convenience store to the hospital parking lot at about 11:30 p.m. when she was attacked by a man who punched her in the mouth and stabbed her in the stomach before running off with some cigarettes she had bought.
She was taken inside the hospital.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage.
