WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - A Friendly Lift Ends In Heist

ARACOMA HEIST - A man who was offered a ride to work was caught off guard when two men in the car robbed him with a gun in Aracoma.

Oral Jeffrey Roberts of Huntington, WV who was driving the vehicle, and John Thomas Brumfield of Kenova, WV are both now in jail. The two men picked up another man, claiming they would give him a ride to work, then pulled over into a gravel area, pulled out a .22 caliber revolver and demanded cash.

The victim gave them $300 in cash, got out of the car and called 911.

Deputies were able to track Roberts and Brumfield down by the description of their car. They recovered the gun, the cash and several pills.

Roberts is charged with Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery and Possession/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Brumfield is charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery.

They are both in the Southwestern Regional Jail.
