Jacob Benjamin "Ben" Morningstar, 25, of Beckley, West Virginia., died
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, as a result of an auto accident in Beckley, WV.
He was born May 8, 1977. Ben was a graduate of Gilmer County High School
and a student of Glenville State College. He lived in Beckley, with his
girlfriend, Aryn, where he was employed by Garfield's Restaurant. He spent
most of his life in food service and the rest of it outdoors. Ben will be sadly
missed by all who knew him.
Ben is survived by his father and step-mother Michael and Donna Morningstar of Cox's Mill, WV; his
mother, Marica Hess of Maryland; one sister, Gypsy Morningstar of
Parkersburg, WV; two brothers, Michael Aaron Morningstar and his wife, Nicole, of
Maryland, and Jesse Morningstar and his wife, Debra, of Nebraska; paternal
grandparents, Fred and Jean Morningstar of Parkersburg; maternal grandfather,
Ignazio Cucchiara of Florida; three nephews, Joshua Satterfield of Parkersburg,
and Hunter and Noah Morningstar of Maryland; and several aunts, uncles and
cousins.
Services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2002 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV at 4 p.m.. Visitation will be from
2-4 p.m. Thursday before the funeral service. Reverend Teresa Wayman will officiate. A memorial mass will be held for Ben in
Frederick, Maryland on Saturday, October 19, at 2 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, located at 116 E.
Second St., Frederick.
