By Angie Hersman Calhoun High School JV and Varsity Ladies hosted Braxton on Thursday evening. JV defeated Braxton 2-0 with their record going to 4-0 for the season. Varsity Ladies defeated Braxton 3-0 with their record going to 21-6 for the season. CHS Varsity Ladies will travel to Charleston Catholic on Saturday for an all day tournament starting at 9 a.m. CHS JV defeated Braxton 25-17 and 25-9; Ashley Hersman 5 points, 9 kills, 10 digs; Kaylea Bennett 10 points, 21/21 setting; Callie Cooper 6 points, 1 kill, 4 digs; Tori Allen 9 points (3 aces), 12 digs Makayla Davis 5 points (1 ace), 6 digs; Amanda Boothe 13 points (1 ace); Mel Starcher 2 points, 1 dig; Alisha Fulks 2 kills, 2 digs. CHS Varsity 25-21, 25-23, 25-9; Kayla Lamb 9 points (2 aces), 2 kills, 18 digs; Makayla Smith 16 points (2 aces), 54/54 setting, 8 digs; Savannah Rogers 16 points (1 ace), 4 kills , 6 digs; Kenzie Hicks 11 points (5 aces), 18 kills, 17 digs, 2 blocks; Taylor Garrett 12 points (3 aces), 4 kills, 14 digs; Shyenne Jarvis 7 points (1 ace), 13 digs; Hannah Allen 4 points, 1 block.
