UPDATE: GILMER WOMAN CHARGED WITH GROSS CHILD NEGLECT RELATED TO SEXUAL ABUSE CASE

Gilmer County authorities have arrested Holly Lynn Puffenbarger, 40. Puffenbarger is charged with gross child neglect with risk of serious injury, following the earlier arrests of her husband and son on sex crime charges. She is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $10,000. According to court documents, she failed to report the sexual abuse of a female relative. Puffenbarger's son, Christopher Lynn Puffenbarger, 19, and husband, John Puffenbarger, 47, were arrested in May 2014 on sexual abuse charges for abusing a girl under the age of 12 on multiple occasions. John Puffenbarger is charged with three counts of first degree sexual abuse, three counts of sexual abuse by parent, guardian, or person in a position of trust, and three counts of incest. Christopher Puffenbarger is charged with two counts of first degree sexual assault and two counts of incest.
