Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her son, William and his wife, Judy of Jacksonville, Florida (with whom she resided), grandchildren, Kimberly and Kelly of Deland, Florida, and great-grandchildren David and T.J. of Deland. She was predeceased by her husband, Jennings, parents, Reverend and Mrs. Clyde West, brother, Leland and sister, Mildred.

Mrs. Nicholson was born at Industrial, West Virginia and graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College with a degree in education. She taught school at Falling Rock, Kanawha County and later taught piano to many young residents of Grantsville. Mrs. Nicholson was a member of First Baptist Church, Grantsville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, in the Chapel of Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville with Reverend Bill Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, at the funeral home.
