Laura Dorothy Marie Jones Lane, 90 - Upper Nicut

Laura Dorothy Marie Jones Lane, 90, a long-time resident of Upper Nicut, Rosedale for 71 years, passed away Sunday September 28, 2014 at home. She was born February 23, 1924 in St. Mary's WV, the daughter of the late Dewey and Clara Bell Greenlee Jones. She is survived by sons, Timothy Lane of Upper Nicut, Larry Lane of Marshall Illinois, Derek Lane of Mt. Run, Jack Lane of Upper Nicut; daughters, Sandra Beitz of Williamstown, Carolyn Lane of Upper Nicut; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Earnest Newton Lane; sons Gary Lane and David Lane; daughter Katherine Kay Lane; one grandchild and one great grandchild. The family would like to offer special thanks to Roane Home Health Care of Spencer, Coplin Clinic of Elizabeth and extra-special thanks to Dr. Tracy Hendershot at Coplin Clinic. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday October 3, 2014 at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg. Burial will follow in the Lane Cemetery, Upper Nicut Road, Rosedale. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm.
