GLENVILLE COLLEGE POLICE ARREST MAN FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT

A Philippi man has been arrested on sexual assault and domestic battery charges by Glenville State College Police. A woman told police that Edward Lynn Parsons, 20, hit her and put his hands down her pants, according to court documents. The woman said she pushed him away and he continued to hit her and try it again. It was unclear if the woman was a college student. Parsons is charged with second degree sexual assault and domestic battery. Parsons is released from Central Regional Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.
