Marcia Lee Lemons, 69 - Sand Fork

Marcia Lee Lemons age 69 of Sand Fork, West Virginia, departed this life Tuesday morning September 16, 2014 at her residence following a sudden illness.

Born June 9, 1945 in Durham, North Carolina, Marcia was the daughter of the late Robert Bruce Sr. and Mollie Crabb Bennett.

Marcia worked for PSNC Energy in both Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She had 22 years experience and retired to Glenville, West Virginia, to be near her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and was a Baptist by faith.

In September of 1967, she was united in marriage to Arthur Lee Lemons, who preceded her in death in June of 1975.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Connie Pritt and husband Terry of Glenville WV, and Cara Lemons Stallings and husband Ricky Lee of Chapel Hill NC; 4 grandchildren, Richard Dale Lane Jr., Robert Cody Pritt, Nathan Jared Pritt, and Sophie Pritt, all of WV; and 2 great grandchildren, Haley Marie Stephenson and Levi Austin Lane also of WV; 4 sisters, Barbara Bennett Overby and husband William "Buck" of Creedmore NC, Claudette Bennett Cockman and husband Danny of Durham, NC; Delores Fay Hill of Creedmore NC; and Wanda Sue Bennett of Roxboro NC; special friend Beverly Pritt and husband David of Sand Fork; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved and who loved her as well.

Along with her parents and husband, Marcia was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Robert Bruce Bennett Jr., Evelyn Bennett Hilliard, and Daryl Ray Bennett.

At Marcia's request her remains will be cremated and the family will have a private memorial service with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating.

Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of Marcia Lee Lemons with arrangements.
