DRIVER CRASHES INTO BRIDGE, PLUNGES INTO CREEKBED NEAR GRANTSVILLE

The driver of a pick-up truck heading south on St. Rt. 16 just out of Grantsville, lost control of his vehicle, riding the berm for a considerable distance, striking the end of a bridge, which was damaged, and then crashing into Phillips Run. The accident happened about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The driver was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Systems by MHHS-EMS for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. The Grantsville VFD also responded to the accident.
