Janet R. "Peggy" Kight, 76 - Parkersburg

Janet R. "Peggy" Kight, 76, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, calmly passed away September 13, 2014 after a short illness.

She was born June 4, 1938 at White Pine, WV, the daughter of Dallas R. and Gene Hope Ayers Kight.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Victor Hamilton III.

Peggy is survived by her sister Helen L. Hamilton of Marietta, OH; niece Janet (Theodore) Coberly of Spotsylvania, VA and nephew Roger Hamilton of Charleston, WV.

Peggy was a graduate of Calhoun County High School with the class of 1956 and Mountain State Business College where she was later employed as an instructor for over 40 years. She was also very proud of serving in the Women's Army Corps from 1959 to 1963.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville with Rev. Mary Zimmer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, Dept. 560, Washington, DC 20042-0560 or the American Red Cross.
