Doyle Dewitt Hupp, 74 - Grantsville

Doyle Dewitt Hupp, 74, of Grantsville, WV passed away on September 11, 2014 as a result of a tractor accident.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend.

Doyle worked at Rubber Fabricators and retired from BF Goodrich. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working on the farm and most of all spending time with the family.

He attended countless ballgames, first with his boys, then the grandchildren and most recently with the great grandkids. Doyle was an avid supporter of Calhoun Athletics. He enjoyed life and never met a stranger.

Doyle was born September 23, 1939, the son of the late Raymond Hupp and Carrie Hathaway Hupp. He was a devoted son-in-law of the late Harry and Georgia Stump.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Geraldine Stump Hupp; two sons, Doyle D. Hupp, Jr. (Shirley) of Grantsville and Russell Hupp (Regina) of Creston; five grandchildren, Chastity Bunch (Danny) of Mt. Zion, Zachary Hupp (Kelli) Grantsville, Darris Hupp of Seattle, Washington, Katie Crislip (Dustin) of Grantsville and Chelsie Sholes (Adam) of Charleston, WV; five great grandchildren, Kason, Payton, Kyla, Quinn and Landry; three brothers, Eugene Hupp (Emogene), Leon Hupp (Judy) of Parkersburg, WV, Paul Hupp of Nicut; one sister Orless Holpp of Parkersburg, WV; three sisters-in-law, Catherine Hupp of Elizabeth, Virginia Bland (Nelson) of Libby, Montana and Shirley Ball of Grantsville; and one brother-in-law, French Stump of Grantsville.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude "Bud" Hupp, Billy Hupp and infant Donald Hupp; sister Gazel Plant; sisters-in-law, Freda Hupp, Joan Hupp and Florence Meadows; brothers-in-law, Lewis Holpp, Roy "Dick" Plant and Russell Ball.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Burial will follow in the Hupp Cemetery at Grantsville. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
