WINTER JAZZ CONCERT FRIDAY AT GSC

Members of the Glenville State College Jazz Band practice for their upcoming concert GLENVILLE, WV - Members of the Glenville State College Jazz Band are preparing for their winter concert, which will take place on Friday, December 5th at 7:00 p.m., in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium. "This concert is going to feature several different jazz styles so there should be a little something for everyone - we will be doing some swing, rock, and even a little Latin. The band will also be featuring a number of talented soloists on trumpet, saxophone, trombone, guitar, percussion, and even a clarinet," said Assistant Professor of Music Jason Barr. The first half of the concert will feature jazz and swing music from artists including Glenn Miller, Count Basie, and Artie Shaw.
