LIFELINE DISCOUNT PHONE SERVICE FOR LOW-INCOME WEST VIRGINIANS

(09/09/2014)
Low income West Virginia families can participate in a discounted phone service through the Lifeline Program.

Lifeline provides discounted phone service to low-income families and helps ensure that all West Virginians have the opportunities and security that phone service brings, including being able to connect to jobs, family and emergency services.

Phone companies in West Virginia participate in the Lifeline program, and discounts can total as much as $9.25 per month.

Families that qualify for other government assistance programs may be eligible to receive the discounted Lifeline phone service.

Lifeline has already provided assistance to more than 75,000 people in West Virginia this year.

For more information, or to find out if you qualify, call your local telephone company, or click on the Commission's website, www.psc.state.wv.us.
