Selections from the Arlinka Worl Gallery Exhibit

GLENVILLE, WV - A reception to recognize the works of award-winning artist, Arlinka Worl, will be held on Monday, September 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Glenville State College 'Spears Fine Arts Gallery.' Worl's work will be featured until Friday, September 19th.

"For thirty-five years I have been astounded by the beauty of the hills around me, and in the last few years I have been photographing and painting landscapes. I hope to inspire an appreciation for the unique terrain of West Virginia through my work," said Worl.

Worl was born in Detroit, Michigan and has lived in West Virginia since 1976. She has competed nationally and has won both a silver and gold Grumbacher medal.

"Arlinka's work is a passionate representation of the natural world. Her use of pastels is superb," said GSC Associate Professor of Art Liza Brenner.
