Weather people, most looking for ratings, keep coming up with fascinating names for weather events like "polar vortex," which sorta sends a chill up the spine.

The Farmer's Almanac is predicting this winter will be just as rough as last year. The current edition predicts three quarters of the nation will experience below-normal temperatures.

Weather predictions tend to be very vague, allowing the Farmers Almanac to declare 80% accuracy.
