FIVE INJURED IN BURNSVILLE LAKE BOATING ACCIDENT

Five people were injured after with a boating accident at Burnsville Lake. Marina officials are saying say one boat ran aground Friday afternoon. The accident involved two boats and happened about 1:20 p.m. Five people were on-board at the time, three of which were transported to Braxton County Memorial Hospital. Reports indicate the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, a marina official saying one person had a broken arm. Multiple emergency crews responded, including members of the U.S. Army Corps, the Burnsville Police Department, Braxton County EMS and the Burnsville Fire Department.
