Johnnie Dale McKown, 59, of Arnoldsburg WV, passed away August 20, 2014, at his home. He was born March 4, 1955 in Calhoun County, a son of the late Lee J. and Marie Wallbrown McKown. He is survived by sons Christopher (Sarah) McKown of Spencer and Josh (Danielle) McKown of Athens PA; grandchildren Zedekiah Rhodes, Lilian McKown and Branlee McKown; ex-wife Gwinna Marks; sisters Patty (George) Dickey of Nicut, Joyce (Paul) Newell of Orma, Sherry (Dave) Dalo of Canton OH, Judy (Rodney) Shartiger of Shock, Donna (Clarence) Butler of Arnoldsburg and Sandra (Paul) Butler of Orma; brothers, Eddie (Debbie) McKown of Sand Ridge, James (Karen) McKown of Arnoldsburg, Jerry (Barbara) McKown of Arnoldsburg and Mike McKown of Arnoldsburg as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death, in addition to his parents by two brothers, Eugene McKown and Danny McKown and one sister Frances Greathouse. The family would like to thank Hospice Care of Burnsville, the doctors at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Charleston Area Medical Centers and Roane General Hospital for the care of Johnnie. At Johnnie's request, cremation was performed and no services will be held at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Stump Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
