MT. ZION MAN PLEADS TO METH POSSESSION CHARGES IN ROANE - Conley Says He Dosn't Remember Arrest

Calhoun resident Richard Earl Conley, 56, of Mt. Zion, was in Roane Co. Circuit Court appearing before Judge David W. Nibert, saying he did't remember his arrest by Roane Co. Sheriffs Deputy Mike King, according to the Times Record/Roane County Reporter.

Conley, who has been arrested multiple times on drug charges in Calhoun, was arrested on meth charges after police allegedly found meth and scales inside his vehicle.

Police also discovered a gun and a sword in the vehicle.

The deputy testified he spotted Conley on Johnson Creek Rd. about 2 a.m., with Conley sticking his head out of the truck and yelling after which Conley engaged in a struggle with the deputy, yelling "Kill me! Just kill me!"

Conley plead guilty to misdemeanor charges of possession and obstructing. He will be sentenced on October 30.

Another Calhoun man appeared in court, Steven Ray Bell, 50, of Arnoldsburg. He was charged with DUI-3rd offense and driving while his license was revoked for DUI-3rd offense.

He plead guilty to DUI-1st offense and attempting to drive while his license was revoked DUI-3rd offense. He will be sentenced on October 30.
